OBJECTIVE.

Be the first player to collect the target number of hearts to win the game!

  • Basic Cards (Rock, Paper, Scissors) – The foundation of every battle

  • Special Cards – Unique variations that add strategic depth

    • Uncommon: Button, Feather, Ruler

    • Rare: Spoon, Pencil, Stick

    • Epic: Flower, Candle, Balloon

GAME SETUP.

  1. Each player begins with one set of Basic cards (Rock, Paper, Scissors) and a starting number of hearts based on the number of players and game length (see Hearts to Win table)

  2. Shuffle the deck, removing any extra Basic cards, extra hearts, and the rules card

  3. Place the deck face down in the center

  4. Players place their hearts face-up in front of them

  5. Battle cards remain hidden in each player’s hand

HEARTS TO WIN.

Hearts to Begin With Per Player

GAMEPLAY.

  1. Choose an Opponent: The active player picks an opponent to battle

  2. Select a Card: Both players choose a card from their hand to play and place it face-down on the table

  3. Reveal: Players say "Rock, Paper, Scissors... Flip" and turn over their chosen card

  4. Winning and Losing:

    • The winner takes one heart from the loser

    • The winner draws a new card

    • If it is a tie, replay as if you are playing normally

    • If a steal card is played, take your opponents card, resulting in no hearts exchanged and your opponent taking a card from the draw pile. Discard the played steal card

  5. Hand Limit: If a player has more than 5 cards, they must discard a card

  6. Elimination: Once a player loses all of their hearts, they are eliminated from the game

  7. Gameplay: Play continues to the left of the active opponent regardless of who won the previous battle and the game ends when someone reaches the specified amount of hearts
